 Technology.......a MUST have in today's world!!!
Don't let the the word scare you. What was once the up and coming thing, is now our reality. In todays economic society, PTA's are facing budget shortfalls along with the rest of the world. Everyone is looking for ways to save money and be time conscious to their audiences.
Each PTA is unique in itself and has more to offer than the average individual realizes. Imagine being able to showcase and share your PTA's information, events and programs with not only the members, but to the community as well.
Here's how:
- Use your own computer or the schools to make newsletters or flyer's
- Capture your events on digital film
- E-mail your members about events, information, and meetings
- Create a web site for your PTA
- Use your schools phone bank for reminders or quick messages
- Archive your PTA year on disc
The possibilities are endless once you begin. Many people are technologically savvy and enjoy 'puttering' around on their computers. You can find people who are willing to help in these areas by asking your members or by talking to your school's technology person, they may be able to help or direct you to who can. Good Luck!!
